We are currently looking to fill the following internship positions-
• Events Intern- This position has a 10 week internship requirement. Assist in planning a large local event in March as well as a few smaller events throughout the quarter. You will be responsible for assisting with researching, reaching out to attendees, planning and executing. This is a great opportunity for you if you are looking for experience in event planning or hospitality. You will have opportunities to get creative while building buzz for the event, creating the guest list, and generating creative concepts for the party. (Bonuses offered for successful execution of event)
• Marketing Intern- Network and hang out with the Chicago community at various events around the city. Meet new people while building your professional network. Create and implement new marketing campaigns. Develop marketing materials, send out e-mail blasts and research innovative new marketing strategies. Find out how we can expand our footprint with traditional and unconventional mediums (guerilla marketing, viral marketing, etc). You will have opportunities to pitch stories to reporters, reach out to bloggers, and to develop branding.
• Web Developer / Design- This hands on internship will have you working directly with our creative director. You will have the opportunity to learn about open source programs such as Wordpress, Magento and several others. Research shows programmers skilled in open source command a premium over ones only skilled in proprietary programs (1). For those interested in Graphic Design our internship has you working on commercial design on the first day. Start expanding your skills and building your portfolio today!
• Internet Marketing / Social Media- This exciting field is evolving everyday and this internship will give you the skills to understand IM. Some of the activities include- strategic planning, viral marketing, competitive research analysis, link building, on-going monthly SEO development, site traffic analytics, monitoring site progress, connecting with bloggers, e-mail campaigns and hanging out on Twitter and Facebook.
• Copywriter / Blogger- Experience writing content for business websites and ad copy for print and web advertisements. Like to blog? Even better- get a bi-line and link to your website on every post you help author. Performance based bonuses.
• Operations Intern- Learn the ins and outs of a small business. You will have the opportunity to utilize and develop firsthand systems small business use everyday, including accounting, marketing, HR, Customer Relationship Management, and enterprise systems. QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

(Familiarity with any of the Adobe cs3 suite, QuickBooks, or WordPress a plus)
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENT:
• Minimum of 10 hours per week
• Duration: negotiable
